What is Judo
Judo is a modern Japanese martial art and Olympic sport that focuses on throws, pins, and submission techniques to control an opponent. Founded by Jigoro Kano in 1882, judo emphasizes using technique, balance, and leverage rather than strength alone. Beyond physical skills, judo promotes discipline, respect, self-confidence, and personal development through the principle of achieving maximum efficiency with minimum effort.
We offer options for every step of your journey

In this class, you'll learn fundamental throws, falls, pins, and movement in a safe, supportive environment. No experience is necessary—just bring comfortable workout clothes and a willingness to learn.

This class focuses on refining technique, improving combinations and transitions, developing strategy, and increasing the pace of training through drills and controlled sparring (randori).
Competition Training
Training emphasizes high-level technique, grip fighting, combinations, conditioning, match strategy, and intensive randori. Students will develop the physical and mental skills needed to perform under pressure.
